Part of the highly publicised Western Corridor of Brisbane - Greater Springfield is being developed to be a major business and residential hub. Schools, Shopping, Public Transport, Green Spaces all is accommodated here. Future plans include a commercial CBD Health City and Idea City.
As a resident and a property advisor in Springfield region, I could see only one reason why anyone would not want to live or invest in Greater Springfield even if there is so much potential for growth.
No Public Hospital!
Not anymore. Queensland Government listened to the demand of its residents for a public hospital for health services in the Springfield region.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk recently announced that there will be a new Mater Public Hospital in Springfield, which will be an expansion on the current Mater private hospital and also include an Emergency Department, an Intensive Care Unit, Maternity Service. This project is aimed to be delivered to the Springfield residents by 2024.
With a public hospital plan in the horizon Springfield is now indeed the place to be.
